Free leatherworking calculators and charts
Three free tools for the sums behind a leather pattern: stitch hole spacing, pricking iron sizes and printing at actual size. They work right here on the page, with nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

Working out a seam? The stitch hole spacing calculator takes the seam length and your pricking iron, and tells you how many holes fit, the spacing to use and how many presses it takes. Type each side of a pocket and it puts a hole on every corner. Then print the holes as a strip at actual size.
Buying an iron, or reading a pattern? The pricking iron size chart lists common spacings in millimetres, inches and stitches per inch, with a converter for any size.
Printing a pattern? The printer scale test page prints 100 mm and 4 inch rulers and a bank card outline, so you can check your printer with a steel rule and work out the correction if it is off.
The same sums, done as you draw
Each tool answers one question at a time. PatinaCAD does the same work while you draw: choose your iron, click along the stitch line, and the stitching holes go in evenly with one on every corner. Then print the pattern at actual size, corrected for your printer. The getting started guide takes you through a first pattern in ten steps.
